Jebel Jais opens fully to visitors, no entry permit needed
Visitors can now drive up to Jebel Jais, the UAE’s highest peak, without needing any entry permit, making access to the mountain easier than before.Authorities confirmed on February 11 that guests can freely explore the scenic viewpoints, outdoor attractions and dining venues on the mountain. The move comes as part of efforts to enhance visitor access and overall experience at the popular Ras Al Khaimah destination.Jebel Jais had been temporarily closed earlier this season after heavy rains damaged sections of the mountain road, which prompted authorities to restrict access for safety reasons. With restoration works now completed, all restrictions have been lifted and normal access has resumed.Those planning to dine at 1484 by Puro, the UAE’s highest restaurant, must present a confirmed reservation upon arrival. Red Rock BBQ has also reopened and is welcoming guests again with its full a la carte menu.All other attractions, viewpoints and leisure experiences remain open to the public, allowing visitors to enjoy the cooler mountain climate and natural surroundings at their own pace.The Jais Sky Tour will officially reopen on February 18.
