Al Ain Civil, Commercial and Administrative Cases Court ordered a man to pay Dhs270,000 to a woman, in addition to fining him Dhs30,000 as compensation, as he, along with an anonymous man seized the amount through an information technology means.The details date back to when a woman filed a lawsuit against the defendant, requesting that he be ordered to pay her Dhs270,000, which he seized, and Dhs32,000 in compensation for the material and moral damage she incurred, in addition to fees, expenses, and attorney's fees.The complainant stated that the suspect was convicted in a criminal case of seizing the amount by fraud.The court clarified that it was established from a copy of the criminal judgment that the suspect, along with an unknown accomplice, seized the amount from the victim through an information technology means, after the unknown man deceived her by claiming to be a consumer protection employee and was following up on her complaint.He also asked her to secure her bank accounts and provide him with account details, which enabled him to withdraw funds and request loans.The court stated that the judgment has become final and conclusive according to the attached certificate, and that the suspect was still indebted to the complainant for the amount.The court also clarified that the defendant's actions resulted in material and moral damage to the complainant, and therefore he was legally obligated to compensate her for the damage with an amount of Dhs30,000.
