Two hundred delivery riders in Dubai were honoured on Thursday, January 29, by the emirate's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in recognition of their hard work and adherence to traffic regulations.The event, held at the Dubai Police Officers Club, witnessed the announcement of the winners of the second edition of the Delivery Sector Excellence Award, which is the first of its kind in the region to recognise delivery riders.The award aims to raise quality and excellence standards in service delivery, while encouraging delivery companies and bike riders to adhere to traffic laws and regulations and occupational safety requirements.Stay up to date with the latest news. Follow KT on WhatsApp Channels.The criteria for choosing the winning riders include a clean record free of complaints, traffic violations, and accidents, as well as performance evaluation.The honourees this year included 50 riders in the Gold category, 60 in the Silver category, and 90 in the Bronze category, with the value of the rewards increased in line with the level of excellence achieved.Besides the best delivery rider award, there are three other categories: Best partner, Best delivery company via smart platforms and app and Best delivery company.The winners of the Best Delivery Company category are:1. ELITE Zone Delivery Services2. ZONE Delivery Services3. ZAJEL Logistics ServicesAnd the winners of the Best Delivery Company via Platforms and Smart Applications category are:1. Motoboy Delivery ServicesThe winners in these categories were selected based on precise criteria, most notably compliance with safety, quality, health, and environmental standards, adherence to RTA’s requirements, the application of global best practices, the use of modern technologies, and continuous training and qualification, in addition to contributing to customer satisfaction.Majid Al Futtaim Group won the Best Partner Award, in recognition of its contribution to achieving RTA’s strategic objectives by enhancing the quality of life and demonstrating leadership in supporting delivery riders.
