Make A Wish Foundation to fulfil 100 wishes for sick children in Ramadan
Coinciding with the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, the "Make-A-Wish" Foundation announced the launch of a new humanitarian initiative during the Holy Month, aiming to fulfill 100 wishes for sick children, as part of its initiatives for the "Year of the Family".The wishes will vary between impactful human experiences, gifts, and long-awaited desires.Hani Al Zubaidi, CEO of the Foundation, indicated that the Holy Month of Ramadan is an ideal opportunity to highlight the values of giving and compassion prevalent in the UAE since ancient times, and to reinforce the role of community initiatives which place the family at the heart of attention.He said that the initiatives of the Year of the Family, especially during Ramadan, reflect a comprehensive humanitarian vision which starts with supporting sick children psychologically and morally, and extends to embracing their families and supporting them on this difficult journey.Al Zubaidi added: "Fulfilling the wish of a sick child in Ramadan is a message of hope which transcends the moment, and confirms that society stands by these children and their families, sharing with them the belief that hope is strength, and that joy is a right for every child, no matter how difficult their circumstances.
