The Dubai Civil Aviation Authority announced the gradual resumption of some flights to and from Dubai International Airport to select destinations, following the temporary suspension implemented as a precautionary measure.The Authority advised passengers to check with their airlines for the latest updates regarding their flights.Airport Road reopens to trafficDubai Police announced that traffic has returned to normal after the closure of Airport Road for those coming from Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Road and Al Khawaneej and also from Marrakech intersection towards Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Road.Earlier, Dubai Civil Aviation Authority announced the temporary suspension of flights at Dubai International Airport as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of all passengers and staff.The authorities took the decision after a drone incident in the vicinity of Dubai International Airport (DXB) affected one of the fuel tanks.Dubai Civil Defence teams have successfully contained the fire resulting from impact to one of the fuel tanks in the vicinity of Dubai International Airport. No injuries have been reported.Travellers are advised to contact their respective airlines for the latest updates regarding their flights.
