Cameras in some Sharjah petrol stations to be linked with police systems

Some petrol pumps in Sharjah will soon link their camera systems with the emirate's police, the authority announced.

Under the new project, ADNOC stations across the city will have linked camera systems with the Operations Room of the Sharjah Police to enhance response speed and improve the efficiency of handling reports.

The announcement of the latest project comes after a meeting was held between the Shaikha Al Khouri, Director of Operations Assurance at ADNOC Distribution, and Sharjah Police officials.

Attended by a number of officials, the meeting came as part of efforts to enhance institutional cooperation and integrate joint efforts between the two entities, as well as to explore ways to develop collaborative work that supports the security and safety system.
